I work as an out-of-network provider because I believe your care should be guided by what you actually need, not by an insurance company’s rules. This keeps your personal information private and gives us the freedom to define your goals together. To make things simple, you can fill out all your intake paperwork online from the comfort of your home before our first session.

Everything you need to know about starting therapy and what to expect when we work together.

Choosing to start therapy is a significant decision, and it is completely normal to have questions about the process. I want you to feel confident and informed before we even begin our first session. Below are answers to the things people ask most often about my approach, insurance, and the practical side of care.

Therapy is about more than just talking; it is about understanding yourself better and building tools that work in your daily life. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, or an eating disorder, we look at the root causes rather than just the symptoms. My goal is to help you manage stress, improve your relationships, and feel more like yourself again.

Being independent is a great quality, but you do not have to carry everything by yourself. Most people come to therapy because they have reached a point where their usual way of coping is not working anymore. Asking for a new perspective isn't a sign of weakness; it is a smart way to break old patterns and move forward with more confidence.

Solutions through Wellness & Counseling, LLC is an out-of-network provider. I work this way to keep your care private and to ensure that you and I decide how long and how often we meet, rather than an insurance company. Individual sessions are $155 and the first intake is $250. Most clients get back 60% to 85% of these costs by submitting simple forms to their insurance providers.

Yes. Trust is the foundation of therapy, and your privacy is protected by law. I cannot share anything about our work together without your written permission. The only legal exceptions are if there is a reason to suspect the abuse of a child or elder, or if someone is in immediate danger of harming themselves or another person.

We will typically meet once a week to talk through what is happening in your life and work toward the goals we have set. This is an active partnership, so I might suggest things for you to try between our sessions, such as journaling or practicing a new communication skill. To help us get started, I will have you fill out your intake forms online in advance so we can focus on your progress from the very first meeting.

I believe that the best results come from looking at the whole picture. While medication can help manage certain symptoms, therapy addresses the underlying causes and the habits that might be keeping you stuck. If you are working with a doctor for medication, I am happy to coordinate with them to make sure your care is consistent and effective.
